Aren't I already covered by my homeowner's insurance?
Homeowner's insurance usually does not provide coverage
for utility system or appliance breakdowns due to
normal wear and tear. A home warranty plan is an
excellent complement to your homeowner's insurance, ensuring
all of your major systems and appliances are covered.
|
|

• On the back cover of the brochure there is a list of 4 available policies to choose from, as well as, 13 possible upgrades. Please note the prices of each plan at the upper right.
• If an upgrade item is listed in the plan you select, you do not need to upgrade your plan to include it. Example: The Guardian plan includes the clothes washer, dryer and refrigerator, etc.
• Select the plan and upgrades you would like. American Home Guardian Strongly recommends the Platinum Protection Upgrade. See the inside cover of the brochure for details.

Our policy premiums and service fees are very competitive
with other warranty companies. AHG's competitive advantage
lies in the fact that we are totally committed to
providing superior customer service and satisfaction.

than many other companies, resulting in a better value
for your money. Our goal is to provide the most items
covered per warranty policy and back all policies

|
What does each Warranty cover?
There are four different home warranty plans that
allow you to select which items you want to have covered.
You can also customize your program by adding other
specific items for an additional fee. See the contract
matrix or your contract
terms and conditions for a detailed description of
what is included in each policy.
|
|
|
What doesn't the Warranty cover?
• The terms and conditions of the contract are listed in the brochure. Please note that under each covered item, there are covered and not covered items. If you have questions, please call 866-710-3700. Please spend the time to review the contract.
• The homeowner is required to comply with the manufactures routine or preventative maintenance guidelines for all covered items. If you have questions, or if you need a referral to a contractor to perform the service, please call American Home Guardian at 866-710-3700, or contact the manufacture of the item in question.
• Home Warranties do not cover damage from storms. You will need to contract your Homeowner Insurance if this occurs.
•
To be eligible for warranty coverage, all covered items must be in “safe and correct” working order when the policy starts. Pre-existing conditions and improperly installed items will not be covered. Normal usage must also be demonstrated. American Home Guardian has provided a pre-closing checklist for you to use as a guide.
• Home Warranties do not compensate for consequential damage or loss. Example: If you had a flood in your home, the warranty company will repair the leak. However, you would need to contact your homeowners insurance to replace the flooring, furniture, cabinets, etc, that were damaged as result of the flood.
• Please see the contract for details to determine limits of liability

How do the Seller's and Buyer's Coverage Programs work?
A home warranty policy helps a home sell more quickly
and for top dollar. When a home seller purchases an
AHG Premium or Guardian home warranty plan, the seller
gets free coverage during the listing period. When the
sale closes, the policy is transferred to the new owner
(buyer). This provides tremendous peace of mind for
the buyer, because they know all their major utility
systems and appliances are covered. Some limitations
apply. See contract terms and conditions for details. |
